Schaumburg, IL, USAISACA credentials Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are now approved for use with the U.S. Department of Defense DoD Manual 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.

The DoD Manual 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program provides policy and requirements related to those who work in cyberspace roles for the department, including Service members, DoD cyber employees, and contractors. This includes eligibility requirements for these positions around education, training, certifications, experience, on-the-job qualifications, environment-specific requirements and continuous professional development. CISA and CISM are now among the approved list of certifications for authorized work roles as part of this program.

Part of ISACA’s diverse certification portfolio, CISA is tailored toward IT/IS auditors, control, assurance and information security professionals, and CISM is designed for those who manage, design, oversee and assess an enterprise’s information security function.

“These credentials have been a mainstay for audit and security professionals for years and are highly respected among employers,” says Shannon Donahue, ISACA Chief Content and Publishing Officer. “This recognition demonstrates the difference CISA and CISM can make in getting considered for key roles, further reinforcing the value that these credentials can bring to audit and security professionals in advancing their careers.”
